It is used in a variety of leather products.

The leather is highly water-repellent due to its high fat content. If there are large temperature differences, it can have a whitish coating that is caused by fat escaping from the leather. This can be quickly and easily polished away with a soft cloth. The name comes from the Spanish city of Cordoba, where this special processing of leather was first practiced.
