SHIBUYA ULTIMA RC PRO features

This model (520-9-A) is a classic sight for the recurve archer. There is a large vertical adjustment range of 107 mm, which is especially useful with a draw weight of less than 40 lbs (for comparison: Shibuya Ultima II RC: 97 mm, Arc Système SX200 95 mm, Decut DC-RE 100 mm, Win&Win WS700 109 mm). This sight is equipped with a type "B" extension bar, which means that it not as stiff as type "A" (see recommended products below). The not quite so stiff model "B" is especially designed for archers with a lower draw weight, since not as high vibrations occur as with very high draw weights. Nevertheless the "A" type extension bar can also be used. Another difference besides the stiffness is the 12 gram less weight of the type "B". Key features:

The Ultima RC PRO is the newest member of Shibuya's Ultima family.
The extension bar is made of carbon and most of the other parts are made of light and strong aluminium.
Attractive, modern polygonal extension bar design for even better damping and vibration control.
The vertical threaded rod is suspended in a damped manner to prevent vibrations and noise.
Sight block is guided over two diagonally mounted surfaces with plastic glides, thus no play between sight carriage and vertical bar.
Large knob for quick adjustment or removal of the sight block.
The quick adjustment screw has a larger contact surface to the extension bar and thus ensures that the extension bar is fixed even more securely.
Fine adjustment of the vertical axis 1/480" (0.05 mm) per click.
Fine adjustment of the horizontal axis 1/640" (0.04 mm) per click.
There is a metal scale on both sides of the adjustment rail. One has a standard scale, the other is blank and can be labeled by you.
The locking screw of the lateral coarse adjustment has been replaced by a thumb screw and can thus be loosened by hand.

Highly durable 3k carbon fabric surface

SMC 15 is SF’s revolutionary new stabilizer constructed from modern high tensile strength carbon, making it stronger and stiffer. With its highly durable 3K carbon fabric surface, the SMC stabilizing system has improved dampening qualities, shock absorbance and torque control. Unlike other stabilizers the thickness of the SMC tube wall varies, helping it to absorb high levels of shock very quickly. The rod wall measures 0.0275” (0.7mm) at the front and 0.0787” (2mm) at the base. This creates reduces movement at the end of the rod and absorbing vibration throughout the length of the stabilizer rather than pushing it back into the bow.

SIGHT SCALE PLATES

Both sides of ULTIMA CPXIII’s elevation bar feature recessed metal sight scale plates. Each ULTIMA CPXIII includes a blank plate and reference scale. 8 double-sided sight scale plates, for a total of 16 scale options, are available sold separately. Printed sight tapes can be used on the blank plate supplied.

MAGNIFIER COMPATIBLE

The Scale Magnifier mounts to the flat shelf indicator’s groove, enabling higher precision elevation adjustments than ever. (sold separately)

ZPE SYSTEM【Patent pending】

ULTIMA CPXIII sights feature a revolutionary system eliminating backlash and play in the elevation adjustments: the ZPE system. A readjustable aluminum wedge, secured with Nord-Lock® washers, eliminates any gap between the threaded locking block and aperture block.

FLAT SHELF INDICATOR PIN

The new flat-shelf indicator pin on ULTIMA CPXIII sights is easy to adjust, closer to the sight tape surface than ever before, while still offering enough clearance for layered tapes. Both side pins are locked by a cap screw from the side, preventing accidental movements when locking them down!

TRIA-LOCK SYSTEM

Shibuya’s innovative Tria-Lock system keeps the scope rod approx. 1/2″ closer to the elevation bar than conventional target sights. This significantly reduces moment effected on the windage unit – a significant factor in development of play and faults! The innovative new Tria-Lock system encloses the scope rod holder from three sides, keeping it perfectly aligned and without play to produce a rattle-free, zero-tolerance environment.

X-Lock System US Pat No. 7,287,335

Re-adjustable, zero-tolerance fit between the windage unit and sight frame. Super-slick and durable polyacetal resin guide spacers enclose the elevation rail, re-adjustable at the turn of a set screw. All parts field-adjustable and -replaceable!
